Horrible moving company

A bunch of our furniture was gouged, a corner broke off the coffee table, glass smashed on an antique corner hutch and a missing box of some very precious pictures:( No one calls back when they say they will…NEVER AGAIN!!

Efficient and great bang for your buck!

Diego's team exceeded all of my moving expectations. They were incredibly efficient, and moved all of my stuff out of an apartment, disassembled my bed, and moved everything and assembled my bed at a townhouse with two flights of narrow stairs. They handled everything with so much care, made sure to point out any existing damage on my furniture, and were done in less than three hours. They arrived to my apartment on time and gave me a heads up call as well! I truly cannot say enough good things, and I know there are a lot of not so good reviews on here so I was skeptical... as long as you do your part in packing efficiently and having everything ready to go, prepare to have your mind blown!! I will be recommending AB Moving to all friends and family moving forward!!

Please read BBB and all web reviews before hiring AB Moving.

I recently engaged AB Moving (AB) for a residential move, an experience that has left me deeply troubled. While I cannot definitively accuse anyone, I feel compelled to share my experience and concerns regarding the disappearance of valuable jewelry during the moving process.

We enlisted AB's services during a chaotic period when we had to reschedule our moving date at the last minute. Consequently, our contract with AB was limited to moving only large items and a few pre-packed boxes. At the time of the move, there were still personal items visible in the house as I was in the process of packing and intended to complete the move over the following two days. The circumstances were hectic, with the need to vacate one house while finalizing arrangements for the other amidst numerous other pressing matters.

Following the completion of the move, I discovered that seven pieces of jewelry were missing from our previous residence. These items included three silver and gold bracelets, a blue topaz ring with diamonds, a smaller sapphire ring, and, most significantly, my great-grandmother's diamond necklace with diamond chain. While I acknowledge that I should have been more vigilant and not left these items visible, I am certain that all seven pieces were not misplaced or lost during the move. Given that I had these items in my possession the day prior and placed them in their usual spot the night before, I am deeply troubled by their disappearance.

While I understand that accidents can occur during a move, the mysterious disappearance of valuable items raises serious questions about the integrity of the moving crew. The timing and circumstances surrounding their disappearance are deeply concerning and have left me feeling violated and distrustful, particularly considering the crew had unsupervised access to the house.

Upon contacting AB to express my concerns, it took several attempts to reach Trey Frazier, whom I was informed was the supervisor of the crew. Despite my efforts, AB was unable to provide me with the names of the other two movers, although I managed to ascertain the name of the crew leader, Jesus Reyes. After days of no response or follow-up from Mr. Fraizer or anyone else from AB, I decided to contact the Grayson County Sheriff’s office to file a report.

During their investigation, I discovered that although the movers were driving an AB Moving van, they were hired as subcontractors, and the Sheriff's office was unable to obtain their identities through AB Moving. This revelation is deeply suspicious and raises serious doubts about AB Moving's hiring practices and how they represent themselves as having employees entering your home and moving your personal belongings.

Moving is inherently stressful, and the additional concern of missing valuables has significantly heightened my frustration. I firmly believe that the actions of a few individuals have the can tarnish the reputation of an entire company. Furthermore, I suspect that situations similar to mine may not be uncommon, with subcontractors exploiting the chaotic nature of the moving process to pilfer items. Homeowners may not realize the theft within a practical timeframe, attributing it to misplaced or inadvertently discarded items. This possibility only exacerbates the distress of those undergoing a move and underscores the critical need for heightened vigilance and safeguards when entrusting belongings to moving companies.

I urge anyone considering AB Moving or any moving company to exercise extreme caution and take additional precautions to safeguard their belongings during the moving process. It is essential to request identification from each mover entering your home, as AB Moving appears to have no knowledge of the individuals they hire and assumes no responsibility for their actions.

In conclusion, my experience with AB Moving has left me deeply unsettled and regretful. By sharing my ordeal, I hope to empower others to make informed decisions when selecting a moving company. Do not leave anyone moving your belongings unattended in any part of your home.

This investigation with the Grayson County Sherriff is ongoing as I have not received and response from anyone associated with AB Moving.

Missed move window then destroyed washer.

I had scheduled a move for 12:30 - 3 on Thursday, August 29 with AB Moving.  Due to some issues our lender misplacing a signed form that was needed, we ended up delayed.  I was told our closing would be pushed back to 2 PM, at which point I called and asked if it was possible to push my move back or ensure they would not arrive until 3 PM.  I was told that there was a truck with a flat and everyone was running behind and I couldn't be fit in later that day, but I could move to Friday, Aug. 30, between 4 – 7 PM.  I agreed to that move date and time and noted to contact me if anything happened to open up Thursday, making sure to note I had to be out of my storage facility by end of month.  I did not hear from AB Moving again until I contacted them Friday at 5 PM to confirm I was on the schedule and they would not be past 7 PM since I was moving out of an unlit storage facility.  I was assured I was and they would call me when 30 minutes out.  .  I had left work early to change and be ready to get over to our storage location as soon as they called.  As 7 PM approached I headed over to the storage facility to ensure I would not hold them up as we would now be working against the sun setting and lack of light.  At 7:40, I got a call stating they did not know where the drivers where or how far out and he (the dispatcher) was trying to track them down.  I told him that there was no light once the sun went down at this storage facility and that it was setting so I needed them quickly.  I also stated that if I didn't get out of the unit I had to pay for another month.  He called back 10 minutes later (now 7:50) to report they were an hour out and maybe could get there around 9 PM (after sundown).  I told him there was no point and it wouldn't be safe to move try and move unless they were equipped with spotlights.  He said he would see what he could do Saturday.  I requested Saturday morning as I already had plans Saturday that I could not reschedule.  When he called back I was only offered late Saturday, and that was not a firm commitment just an “if they could squeeze me in”.  I ended up having to schedule for Sunday and pay $144.00 because AB Moving did not meet their contracted appointment time window    Sunday, three men arrived within the time I had been given.  They did work quickly.  They did not, however, work extremely safely or carefully, choosing to forgo the appliance dolly that was sitting on the ground.  While moving my washing machine they apparently (I did not see what happened as I wasn't watching them at the time and only heard the crash) lost their balance while heading up the ramp to the truck and the washing machine toppled over onto the front.  The damage to the machine was extensive.  The electrical is completely shot and I was advised by four washing machine repair men it was not worth trying to fix.  The piece that holds the drum in cracked where the screws hold it down and it doesn't function any longer, the body is cracked and scratched and dented.  The entire electrical compartment has broken loose; the water drain in the back broke loose so if you try and attach a drain hose it just recedes into the washer.  All this to say it is shot, forcing us to purchase a new washer.  Our model is not available so we had to purchase another washer for $800 to get a comparable quality washer (the one that was broken was 1299.00 when new six years ago).     I am now out $944 (144 800) due to negligence of AB Moving.  I understand things happen, I also understand that the standard insurance required is measured in pounds and doled out at $0.60 per lb, but I am now out $944 because of AB Movings lack of ability to meet a contract and negligence by their crew while loading (it is one thing to take proper precautions and have an accident, it is another to have an accident when not using the available proper precautions even though you advertise you are professional trained movers who will take every precaution).  .

AB Movers is one of the worst movers you can ever find.

I called AB Movers and asked if they are specialized in moving Piano and they said yes and created the schedule by saying you have full insurance for the move. I even got an email with fully insured. They literally broke my piano in the move and after delivering they said you can file claim and charged for the move. I called the customer service and it always goes to voice message and after leaving voice message nobody will return to the call. I called and clicked option to talk to scheduler and someone picked and told them to connect to customer service in claims. Finally they sent email to file claim and I told them I am fully insured and they denied it and they said they can only pay $300 for piano worth of $2400.

Please do not go with these movers if you have to move expensive items.

Broken TV, damaged furniture, no response from customer care.

DO NOT USE THEM!

First, they forged a signature on my contract which we never went over, broke my $1700 tv, damaged the floors to my place, damaged my dining table, chipped a nightstand, and broke part of my sectional couch.

Offered me $250. I pointed out the clear forgery of the contract and the customer care guy agreed with me. I couldn’t get anyone on the phone or replies from customer care via email after that conversation. All I wanted was a reasonable settlement for the thousands of dollars of property damage they did.

Will have to file a claim against them through the Better Business Bureau to seek punitive damages.

Do not be fooled

Want your stuff damaged? Want to be lied to? Want to pay more than expected? Want poor customer service? Look no further than AB moving! Seriously, buyer beware of this company. I too was fooled by all of the “good reviews” on other platforms and severely regret it.

Scammers. I had to pay double what they quoted me. It does not take four hours to move a studio. I am displeased with the customer service and the overall experience using this company. Customer Service threatened me if I didn't pay before they finished the job
